Busy Work at Home Mom

Have I mentioned lately how much I appreciate all of you who take the time to read my lil’ ol’ blog each day?  Well, I do!  Not that I make any money doing this, but I am hoping that soon certain businesses will realize that all of the smart and savvy readers of My Three Angles just might want to buy their products. Then they can just start sending me beauty or fashion boxes (Hello? Stitch Fix? Is that you at the other end of this pretend phone call?)  or maybe even some money.  Right now I consider this blog my job, and let me tell you, being a work at home Mommy blogger is no easy task!

Röbert and the big kids are all up and making all kinds of noise by 7 AM every day, and it is hard for me to sleep through.  When he travels out of town or has a meeting am the one who has to get Merlin and Starling on the bus.  I am up early too.  I need to get to the gym for my 9 AM kick-boxing elite class, and Hummus would be devastated not to spend as much time as possible in the child care there.  After kick-boxing elite I usually have a sauna and then coffee in the cafe before I meet some friends for barre or pilates.  We end the day with spin class or kettle bells most days, then Hummus and I rush out to pick up the ingredients for dinner from a restaurant or gourmet shop.  Sometimes I am so busy I forget to even grab lunch for me and Hummus, LOL!

When we get home it is time for a nap for Hummus and I spend at least 45 minutes writing and watching television and keeping up with my social media and talking on the phone and doing kegels and looking through catalogues and looking luxury homes up online.  Then I relax until Merlin and Starling get home.  They always have a lot to say, so I distract them by handing them my old iPad, so they can play games, or I put Frozen on the television.  Both activities are very educational since they are both so very creative.  Hummus loves to spend the afternoon quietly entertaining himself in his crib.

I try to have dinner on the table by 4 PM, because children need their sleep, then Merlin gives the baby his bath and they all go upstairs to bed by 5:30.  The big kids are allowed to read in bed, but they have had colds coming on, so they have been exhausted from the Benadryl all week, so it is pretty quiet up there by 5:45 most nights.  Röbert checks on them when he gets home, so I, at last, have a moment to myself!  Phew!

I made myself a lil' dinner last night. The martini was my appetizer, then dinner and dessert are on the counter. LOL!

Don’t you find shopping for food exhausting? You should look into delivery. Your time is too precious to squander in shops or waiting forever for carry-out to be packaged.

I usually just call a restaurant and have them deliver to my car as i drive by from the gym. There is also a wonderful specialty grocery store/gourmet shop in town where I love to go and look at all of the unusual foods. Mostly I just buy a bunch of green stuff there, put it in a blender and serve it to the kids in mason jars. Healthy, healthy, healthy.

Omg, we are like exactly the same. Except I just moved into a huge, fancy house. I would show photos, but as a really famous blogger, I need to worry about crazy stalker fans.

I know how much fun those Republican fundraisers are Cyndy. And you must get to go meet with those hilarious Koch brothers all of the time. It sounds absolutely fabulous.

Oh Lah Lee, I do hope you find sponsors soon. It breaks my heart to know that some people have it so tough. Shopping for your own groceries, no nannies, OLD electronic devices for your children…I had no idea people still lived like that.

I am so happy that someone understands how hard my life is. I have never even been offered a single Birch Box, let alone a speaking opportunity at a regional blogging conference. I have all absolutely new and up to date electronics, but the kids don’t really need them, do they?

Ah, don’t wait for invitations. Just show up at the panel you deserve and get involved. Women bloggers are notoriously jealous and you probably don’t get invited because the losers organising those conferences (seriously, who organises other than people who’d never get anywhere near the cool and sophisticated people? Exactly. No one. Why be an organiser when you can be a star?!) are probably very intimidated by you. So go for what’s yours, girl!

Great idea pearshaped. I think a lot of people are jealous of me and talk about me behind my back. “Oh that Lah Lee is so pretty and put together all of the time. Röbert must be cheating on her.” or, “Lah Lee is so kind to children and animals. She must be stalking some man.” (they actually said that about me on a hateful blog online!)

I did go to the Blog Her convention last summer and had a total blast, but it was my first conference so I didn’t feel comfortable just pulling up a chair and joining a panel, but next time I will for sure!

Lah Lee, I value your advice so, so much – more than my doctor or husband or myself, that’s for sure. So can you tell me what to do about vaccines?

My opinion on vaccines is that you should definitely get them, because who needs a sick kid? Also, I always make sure to make my kids’ doctor’s appointments on Fridays so I can go out with my hubby and leave any potential cranky littles with a sitter.

I don’t know how you do it all. Seriously, you must have so much energy. You are a role model to many. Does Röbert know just how lucky he is? #lifegoals #hero #rolemodel #perfectmom
